    • Black Racism ?

      Monday, April 30, 2012 | No Comments »

The issue of racism has been the subject of a few entries in this blog. As everybody with only half a sense of political correctness knows, only white people can be racists. This allegedly irrefutable fact has been reestablished in the public conscience by D.C. Council member Marion Barry.
Several days ago he was caught on video singling out Asian-owned businesses for being dirty and lamenting the number of immigrant nurses particularly from the Philippines .

News has reached the international press that the kingdom of Saudi Arabia accepts the women of tragically deceased Osama bin Laden out of humanitarian considerations. All of us, of course, are only too painfully aware of Saudi Arabia traditionally being at the forefront of the global fight for human rights. And so we all can understand how the foremost proponents of Wahabism, Salafism and other radical Islamisms must have felt when they added three more representatives of the female persuasion to their own population of those inferior human beings who can be subjected to stoning any time it is deemed to be convenient and justified in the name of God.

I found this on the BBC website the other day:
For generations, the dream of a sober society has eluded the largest tribe of Native Americans in the US.
Members of the overload Sioux, living in South Dakota’s Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, have long tried to shut down the beer stores just across the state line in White Clay, Nebraska. The four beer shops in the tiny town of White Clay (population: a dozen) operates just steps from the reservation. Between them they sell more beer per head than almost anywhere else in the US  -a total of about 13,000 12 ounce servings each day.

    • Alberta’s Libertarians

The conservatives in Alberta have done it again: in the recent provincial elections they managed us to secure a 12th consecutive electoral victory. Thus, when Albertans will be asked the next time to cast their votes, the Progressive-Conservative Party will have ruled the province for 45 years.
For those Americans who are not intimately familiar with Canadian politics, let it be noted, that Alberta is increasingly gaining importance within the Canadian Federation.
This is first and foremost due to the fact that Alberta’s oil riches lend it a significant political and economic standing on an oil-starved North American continent. Even Pres.
