  • Obama – often wrong, never in doubt

In a truly astounding pice on “Human Events“, economist Thomas Sowell describes Barack Obama as a confidently ignorant man, who was already doctrinaire at a very early age — and ill-informed or misinformed on both history and economics.  “After reading Barack Obama’s book “Dreams from My Father,” it became painfully clear that he has not been searching for the truth, because he assumed from an early age that he had already found the truth — and now it was just a question of filling in the details and deciding how to change things.”

This deplorable ignorance – according to Thomas Sowell – applies to Obama’s opinions and presumed knowledge about African, American and European history, and the very basics of economics. Sowell calls Obama a man who is very often wrong, but hardly ever in doubt.

In my mind, this brief characterization of the current President describes the very essence of the present occupant of the White House and his disciples: having pre- and ill-conceived notions about people, history, economics and policy, they are willing to effect change in everyone and everything but their own view of life and human nature.

This character strain they have in common with all and every anti-individualist dictator the world has ever known.
